TOKYO — Singer Akina Nakamori, 43, will hold folk song concerts this year, more than two years after her last live concert. Nakamori has recently released albums featuring other artists’ songs and 1 million copies have been sold so far.
Nakamori has been performing only at dinner shows since August, 2006, because she says her songs cannot satisfy her fans at big concert halls. Insiders says Nakamori plans to perform more often at live houses. Details of the folk song concerts have not yet been decided.
