Bollywood superstar and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is expecting her first child, four years after her marriage to husband and fellow actor Abhishek Bachchan. News of the pregnancy was revealed by Aishwarya's father-in-law, Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan who posted a message on his Twitter account Tuesday: “News News News!! I am going to be a Grandfather. Aishwarya Expecting. So Happy and Thrilled.” Bachchan also added on his blog that the pregnancy was “confirmed by the doctors yesterday (Monday) evening.”
Aishwarya, 37, has often been hailed as “the most beautiful woman in the world” and after her start in modeling, her acting career has included major Bollywood hits such as 1999's romantic caper Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and 2002's Devdas. Her international credits include 2007's The Last Legion and 2009's The Pink Panther 2.
In 2003, Aishwarya was the first Indian actress to sit on the Cannes jury while she has graced the Croisette over the years with red carpet appearances as brand ambassador for L'Oreal. Aishwarya's upcoming projects include Heroine directed by Madhur Bhandarkar that revolves around a Bollywood superstar actress.
Expectedly news of Bachchan's pregnancy made prime time news with various Bollywood personalities congratulating the family.
“Thank you all so much for all the blessings and greetings and the good wishes...To be a child again, to pamper and give love and company and all things bright and beautiful to the little one that shall take over all our attention in the days to come...and now cometh the progeny of my son that shall bear the surname Bachchan -- the first in this generation,” added Amitabh Bachchan on his blog.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's pregnancy is reportedly making more filmmakers consider "no pregnancy" clauses in their contracts.The actress's announcement has meant that the shooting of Heroine is indefinitely on hold.

Murder 2 producer Mahesh Bhatt told Mumbai Mirror: "When the leading lady has to provide the glamour quotient and she [then becomes] another entity completely in the eyes of the consumer - from a desirable diva to a new mother - [it] serves as a body blow to producers."

However, Bhatt and fellow producers Ekta Kapoor and Vipul Shah argued that such a clause is not enforceable, saying that it should remain an "unspoken" agreement.

It was rumoured that the "dark" subject matter of the film may have made shooting it too stressful for the pregnant star, while speculation has also centred on whether she would be able to act out key scenes.The pregnancy was revealed last week by her father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan, who tweeted fans with the news.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is going to make her debut on television. Aishwarya is very busy with shoots of her upcoming movies, but if things go well, she will be hosting a show on national television. It is going to be a chat show and the remaining logistics are yet to be discussed. The debut of this beautiful actress is part of a family deal. According to a source, “right from the time they signed Amitabh Bachchan for Bigg Boss, the channel had decided to have Abhishek and Aishwarya as well.”

Aishwarya was unavailable for comment, her spokesperson denied any such news. However, the channel’s spokesperson said, “no comments.”

The famous Indian choreographer Longinus Fernandes made all the actors in Slumdog Millionaire dance to his tunes and he has directed a sequence in Hollywood movie, Eat, Pray, Love. Out of all this, it was our very own Bollywood diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan bowl him over, with her ‘dream’ like dance movies.

He has choreographed one song in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s, Guzaarish, Udi Udi. When asked about this song, Longinus said, “It is very unusual. We have never seen Aishwarya doing such steps. It is very different from what she has done in the past and she has done a brilliant job with it. She is a wonderful dancer and she dances like a dream. It did not take her much time to learn the dance, but it did take some time to perfect the dance and to get in the mood of the character.”

The song is turning into a rage especially due to Aishwarya’s graceful and impressive moves in her red and black long dress. The dance director said, “Sanjay wanted to make this song unique and different one. I asked him if we can add a little bit of Spanish in it and give it a raw, earthy feel. He loved the idea, so we gave the whole dance a look, which is very rustic, so we tried to make it as natural as we can.”

Longinus has won the Filmfare Award for this famous choreography for the song ‘Pappu can’t dance saala…’in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Bhansali and Longinus met for the first time on the sets of a dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

When asked Longinus how he got a film with Sanjay he said, “It was not very tough for me to get this break with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. He has always been fond of me. He was one of the judges on Jhalak and he told me that time that he will work with me for sure. He kept his promise.”

Guzaarish where Hrithik Roshan plays a paraplegic patient is slated to release on November 19.
