BUENOS AIRES - DON'T cry Argentina: Madonna has postponed the first of four shows in Buenos Aires.
The pop star's Wednesday-night opening concert at River Plate Stadium was delayed because mechanical problems delayed the plane transporting some of her wardrobe and sound equipment, said Maria Florencia Puppo of the local production company time 4 Fun.
Television stations showed hundreds of fans abandoning lines for the concert, which was delayed until Friday. The opening concert will now take place on Thursday.
